“Eric Paul Update…”

Hello my freinds,

I hope you had an awesome Christmas and with the New Year upon us we look ahead to bigger and better things. You know me, the path to success in life is well rooted in the quality of our re-elationships and the way we choose to SERVE those re-elationships.

One man who has SERVED well is our brother Eric Paul. Today, as I look ahead I look ahead for one of our brothers; Eric Paul who may very well ne in the hospital for the very last time. His cancer has progressed and his doctor have placed our brother Eric in ‘hospice care’.

I spoke with him on Saturday and though he is fully aware of his situation, he is at-peace. He IS also a man of faith and understands his destiny. He only asked that we keep his kids and family in prayer as he makes this journey.

He is a awesome friend and selfishly, will be missed but the amazing things he has done to help sooooooo many others (Myself included!)  is an inspiration to us all.

Likely you have seen this from Eric’s friend Jim Palmer, but I wanted to make SURE as well

Hello Friends,

I have some sad news to report. I just left Eric at the hospital. To be candid, unfortunately Eric has only days to live.

The disease has spread to his other lung and he is in a lot of pain and having difficulty breathing.

He is on medication to help with the anxiety associated with not being able to breath and he is also on morphine to help manage the pain.

While facing this difficult news, Eric is very happy (joyous) to have accomplished his big goal which was to spend Christmas with his kids and it was only this big goal that helped him manage the pain in the last 3 days. But once his kids left Christmas night, after a short nap he drove himself to the hospital and checked in.

He is in Phoenixville Hospital room 404.

If you are able I know he would love to hear from you and if possible, he would love to have visitors.

I know this is uncomfortable and perhaps awkward but please know that Eric is facing this head on and he takes immense comfort in the fact that he knows when he passes that he will be the Lord. So please don’t hesitate to visit or call.

He still loves chocolate and asked someone who called while I was there to bring him some chocolate ice cream!

When I was leaving Eric was attempting to get online and update his friends through Facebook etc. But if you would, please forward this to anyone you can think of that I have not included.

You Are The BEST!

I mean it!

The people in magic are really the BEST! I remember when we were touring all over the world and we would do our shows in each city/town, I would call the local magi and invite them to our show as our guest… some would, some would not, but LOTS (like MOST) would always say things like; “can we take you to dinner?” or “could we bring by coffee as you are setting up?”, or that we were welcome to stay at their house!

Really… their HOUSE??? I mean as far as they know I could be some axe murdering whack-o, right?!? The thought never seam to cross their minds! (I know how they feel… I have done the same thing, with-out a single thought!)

The point is we seam to extend a special trust-bond to those in our industry. I like to think it is that we KNOW what it takes and we can ‘relate’… the basis of rapport’ and trust.

WELL: (Time Warp… fast forward to NOW December 2009)
Last week I got a call out of the blue… (well actually it was a referral… HINT!-HINT!) I received a call from another Las Vegas Show Producer who needed us to ‘magically produce’ the brand-new Academy Award Winning Maestro of the Reno Philharmonic Orchestra for their Holiday Spectacular Extravaganza! (…OH, and “it WAS!” according to reviewers and sold out audiences!! It Was AMAZING!)

Hang-on… I AM getting to the point here…
Well, most of you know that I have been selling off 99% of my Illusion Stash (of the original 98 Illusions I had…) so I needed something to actually ‘do the job’ with.

I ASKED…
I posted my request a few places around the net and that night I got several responses.

Originally, I was looking to ‘purchase’ the illusion, but no-one had one for sale… a few offered to rent the illusion to me. Cool.

…But One Guy said he would just send it to me and let me use his, “just because” I asked! (… that alone is a Huuuuuge TIP by the way!)

WHAT???

WHY???

I’d say, “just-because” he is one of “US”… you know; ‘another brother in the trenches’ simply doing what we do to serve and support our relationships and “just-because” that is what we do!

REALLY???

REMEMBER; we are talking about a real-moneyed prop that he was going to “loan to me just because”!

What a PRO! What a nice guy!

Though I ‘get-it’, cuz I have had this same attitude all my life and career… just ask anyone whom I have loaned any of my time, talent & treasures to over the years, so I don’t know why I was so delightfully blown away… but I was!

I could go ON about this ‘nice-guy’ who saved-my-bacon on this event and helped me to kick some serious butt for this event… AND, though he was just willing to “loan it to me Just-Because” he WILL be seriously rewarded for his kindness even though he never asked, implied for a penny… “Just because”!

Now, we have a platform to share our creative efforts with the rest of the world in way never available before!. You can take advantage of ALL the different at opportunities available to you IF you are creative and willing to take action!

In the past, you had to find a show-space and convince them to book your work. Maybe you even tried setting up your show in a local park, daycare or even on the sidewalk and selling your work that way. That’s fine and if done properly, IT WORKS too! BUT…

With the Internet, some new opportunities have opened up for you. You can set up your own personal web site which will serve as your own digital showroom.

If you already have a loyal following for your solutions and shows, you can explore different opportunities. You might try showing/selling your product on some of the plethora of online mediums now available! – - Heck, you may choose to offer an affiliate program of your own and reward people to offer these events/show/programs for you!

To help you while you are waiting to become a successful performer and business-owner, you can even try other business opportunities that line-up with you goals and plans. You could investigate the possibility of selling Business Related Products, Services & Solutions. Set up your own web-store that sells various options and opportunities! Hey, they do NOT even have to be your own, but you make money offering them to your audience anyway!

…one of my favorite words, concepts and success principles; LEVERAGE!

Alternately, you could publish a blog or online newsletter, or even write reviews of “like arts”, and different products related to your field, plans, goals, dreams and desired outcomes and passions.

Certainly you can try nontraditional business opportunities that you can fund your artistic endeavors. In this way, you can experience your true passion while supporting yourself without the conventional risk but with more reach.

“Online Vs. Offline Marketing… Re-Elationships Still RULE!!”

As always, I was discussing some success principles with a friend (I have lots of friends!) via private messaging on My FaceBook Page and he was asking about some ideas about “ONLINE, Social Media Marketing” and so I replied and I though I’d share some of the simple ideas I shared with him as well…

Hey Brother Xxxxx,

This FaceBook thing still delights and mystifies me all at the same time and though I am faaaaaar from anything like an expert on ‘social networking’, BUT I am a ‘social guy’ by nature so I have been able to get real work from some of theses sites, though I will be honest, it was not my main goal or intent.

I am currently (for the past 2 years or so) been ‘immersing’ myself in SEO, SEM and all things marketing success online and though I have done some significant testing, I have yet to ‘crack the code’ perfectly per say.

I HAVE gotten some significant results for sure in my ‘testing’, but up until recently, I VERY Specifically wanted to be ‘invisible’ to the search engines. (Hint: I STILL Target the PEOPLE I choose to do business with!)

LOTS has changes in how people find us and I am slooooowly, but surly making the shift. The ‘test-sites’ I have been playing with seam to rock, but like I said, I am no expert.

I AM in two separate Internet Marketing training events this week (actually every week for a dozen weeks each or so…) so I am learning and applying more n’ more as I test this stuff for myself.

Not planning on becoming an ‘expert or guru’, just figuring out this stuff for myself and my coaching members.

I still rely on my old-fashioned “Success Solutions Provider” paradigm and the “Re-Elationship Marketing Success” that has served me so well offline and I will be truthful, THOSE Very Same resources have served me BEST online as well…

I still have a ton to learn, but helping people get more of what THEY want need and desire transcends ALL medias!

Follow your heart and educate yourself as best you can… it’ll all work out for you my friend! There is no big ‘mystery’ to doing the right thing and being nice while service the good folks you support!

The shows are not about me anymore, nor are they about the mentalism — Mentalism is the tool by which I’ve been educating people about diabetes control, getting over their fears of insulin, etc. They honestly listen and learn much better with the entertainment than without it. I’m going to have to take a few weeks off (I don’t know when!) to prepare new shows along these new themes. Man oh man, I get to perform mentalism AND save lives! How cool is that?

No offence to those who don’t yet know the pleasure and passion for ‘doing your dream’ and “USING” entertainment to get there, as well as the RUSH that accompanies it, PLUS it is the most truly effective way to accomplish real success in the long haul are just plain missing-out of the immense joy of knowing we are really helping people in real, tangible ways!

YES, just good, old-fashioned ‘entertainment’ helps people in some way as well, but to be able to help facilitate real, lasting life transformation is something that will change the world for the better, even if it is one person at a time

I was BLOWN-AWAY! Nearly three full decade later… and he remembers the impact and find me on Facebook to tell me! Sure, this kinda’ thing happens, but not every-day, and it still blows me away every time it happens!

Whoo Hoo, Holy Cramoly… gotta love it!

Yeah, it was a FUN and ENTERTAINING program, but the POINT was the message! At some point, many of us will figure out that magic, music, entertainment is just a tool (a amazingly powerful tool, but a tool non-the-less) to impact and change people’s lives and THEN ‘watch-out’, you will become unstoppable on so many levels!

Well Howdy My Friends,

What a week… Oh, and THANK YOU for all the kinds notes and communications about this “Money Making Marketing Moment… Success in Seconds!” eMinder. Most for you commentated how nice it is to read something of value KNOWING it only takes a few seconds so you can move on to other things in your busy day, doing what you do best…

Hey, this is a delightful ‘stretch’ for me as well trying my best to keep it “Powerful, Practical, Punctual & Profitable” all at the same time!

So let’s get to it… seconds a wastin’ ya know!

I already told you how crazy this week has been… running around at warp-speed with my head on fire! I’ll be honest with you, MOST of this week’s craziness were all un-planned events and interruptions.

Sometimes that is a good thing, and others it can reek havoc on our success lifestyles.

One of theses unplanned events was an awesome and amazing, 100% donation of over One HUNDRED full pallets of durable goods… toys, books, CD’s, and thousands of other brand-new items one of our small group community service ministries will be able to re-distribute into the surrounding region to directly assist and support literally thousands of people who would not otherwise see any benefit from such an awesome gift!

BUT there was a ‘hitch’… it ALL has to be MOVED Right Now, Today, This second or it will get tossed in the trash and no-one will get this stuff!

Now to put this into perspective, 100 pallets is about 10 to 15 FULLY LOADED semi-truck-loads of product and I don’t have any of my big trucks anymore!

“SCRAMBLE!”

It’s amazing what we are capable of when we are FORCED into it, eh’? Yeah, I know it was a ‘choice’ to accept the challenge, but this sort of thing doesn’t happen every-day. It does happen occasionally, but it is never on a timely schedule!

Sounds like your LIFE as well, eh’?

Robert Kiosaki; author of the Rick Dad, Poor Dad series of books refers to theses interruptions in his outlining of his “quadrants”… in THIS case; “Unplanned, but Important or URGENT”!

Creativity kicks in and THIS is where the “learnin” comes in… you see, there is NO-WAY that I cold do this all by ourselfself. (our Small Group) – No one could! We need HELP!

Too, if the GOAL is to “Impact the Community” then even the re-distribution of all this stuff was going to be a challenge to make sure to get it onto the hands of folks who NEED it… not just ‘want’ it.

Calls, emails, networking… a total community coming together for a common good! Our Small Group Service Ministry along with many agencies, civic groups, organizations, churches and peoples working TOGETHER help each other out in a truly Win, Win, Win sort of way!

So; Competition or Cooperation? That is the question! How do YOU view your business, life?
